Cooking with Friends | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

So today I hung out with a few of my very close friends from school. It was really fun and I thought I would let you know, briefly, what I did. My question to you is – what do you like to do with friends?

We met up pretty early and hung out in a shopping center for quite a while..! 3 hours it was I think.. We were going around some stores, laughing at products and just enjoying our time together. We won’t get to see each other as often this year, since some of them have moved schools, so we really cherish moments like these. 🙂

Then, after 3 hours, we walked back to my friend’s house and did some cooking. I decided to buy packet noodles, because I had a really bad craving for them… I don’t know why. Then we ate nachos and baked a really nice chocolate, cream and cherry cake… I was so marvelous.

But yes, the thought that I left with today was that I really REALLY love the friends that I have in college now, and I know that people say that college friends are for life and sometimes it doesn’t turn out to be true. But I truly feel like the friendships that I have currently will definitely last for a really long time – my friends are the best and I’m so glad that I have found a group of friends who I can trust and have deep conversations with, but also have a fun and silly time together. ❤ If anyone has friends like that, you should feel lucky and happy – there aren't that many people out there who are going to have your back no matter what, so cherish them. 🙂

I love you all~! ❤

CONTEST RULES!

Hello my lovely cat people!

Sorry about this being late – I simply forgot – but here are the rules!

1). No age restrictions on this one, don’t feel like I should have it for this type of contest.

2). You are required to do the A-Z April Writing Challenge (make a post according to the letter of the alphabet every day, apart from Sundays through the month of April). I understand if it’s not something you do regularly, but this is my requirement. Plus, not trying to brag at all, but just trying to provide an example, I gained a lot of followers doing this challenge and it was good to come up with different ideas to talk about every day. I recommend for as many people to try it as possible!

3). It is worldwide, so you do not, in fact, need to live in Australia. However, if you are from overseas, I will ask you to provide a shipping address, but that can be arranged later.

4). The winner will be picked by original and entertaining posts, as well as keeping to schedule – posting every day apart from Sunday – unless certain circumstances may prevent you from doing so.

5). The prize will be something from Tasmania, not sure what yet, but I will try to find something nice-looking. 🙂 If that is not what you are looking for, then by all means, don’t participate. But I think this will be a nice way to say thank you. 🙂

Apart from that – it’s all up to you guys! But make sure to like this post if you’re planning to participate in the contest so that I know who/how to contact people! If you have any other questions/queries – by all means post a comment below. 🙂

I love you all and good luck~! ❤

Pet Peeves | The Truth

Hello my lovely cat people!

Today I thought I’d create a quick list of my top 10 pet peeves. Sorry about it being short, but here it is nonetheless. 🙂

*They are in no particular order, by the way.*

1). When people chew REALLY loudly. Not just with their mouth open, but just chew so that you hear every single crunch of food… Am I being pretentious, or is that an actual thing? Comment below! 😀

2). Annoying customers… I’ve explained it in my previous post a week ago, but yeah…

3). People who think they are better than everyone else. I’m talking about either super pretentious guys, or really REALLY bitchy girls. I’m most likely stereotyping here, but they annoy me. A lot.

4). People who you think are going to be your best friend, or maybe they are for a while, and then they turn on you. Really? I thought we had a connection… ;(

5). People who over-exaggerate. They cannot be trusted and are quite annoying.

6). People who either tease me or my friends all the time. I can understand occasional teasing, but actually saying, “Hey! Your … needs work! Hey, how about plucking your eyebrows or shaving your legs just to fit with our stereotype! WOW, your teeth are so yellow today!” Come on, I’m fairly sure that’s bullying. (I’ve experienced all of these, it’s not nice.)

7). People who are really horrible to my friends. Be horrible to me and I may forgive you. Be horrible to my friends….. who knows what might happen?

8). When my parents push me to do things. I hate that, but I suppose it has to be done.

9). When I have to repeat myself when someone either mishears me or doesn’t hear me at all. I don’t know why it annoys me, but it does…

10). Mosquitoes. Their high-pitched buzzing is enough to make anyone go mad.

I’ve got other pet peeves, I’ve got many actually, so let me know by liking the post if you’d like to read a part 2. 🙂

I love you all~! ❤

Trashy Shows and Good Music | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

Sorry about this being late, but here it is. 🙂 My question to you is, what are your guilty pleasure TV shows and what music do you like to listen to? Feel free to leave your comments down below. 🙂

So I’ve been watching quite a few trashy shows lately – Dance Mums is one of them (let the judging begin 😛 ). I have really started to like it because of the drama, however, I do not agree with what people are fighting about and I personally think it is so bad. But, in saying that, the dancers there are incredible and most of them are 6, if not more, years younger than me! The stuff that they can do out there every day is insane, so to them, I put my hands down.

Music has been so good lately… Just, wow. What I haven’t told you yet is that I will try and audition for a main role in the school musical, so I’m trying to pick out a song that will be my audition piece. And this has got me thinking about my favourite band. I still think that Of Monsters and Men are, by far, my favourite band ever – there is not a song of theirs that I didn’t like – they are true artists and I hope that they come to Tasmania soon because we need them here!!!!

Anyway, that’s enough for me today. 😛 Sorry about it being short, just didn’t want to go “full out”. I love you all~! ❤

Customers Are Really Annoying… | The Truth

Hello my lovely cat people!

So today I’m going to post about customers in food shops, since I have a job working in one. Feel free to leave your comments down below. 🙂

So during these holidays I’ve been having a lot of work shifts, which is great, because a). I LOVE my job and the people I work with and b). I get paid for it. 😀 And who doesn’t love money in our society? 😛

Anyway, we have to deal with a lot of customers daily and some of them aren’t as pleasant as the others. There are some who just want every single person working there to get something for them. If there are two people at the shop working, they would want two people to serve them. Like, that’s not right… I can understand if we ask for help from someone and it’s not too busy, but when there’s a crap ton of people wanting to buy food and you’re telling every free worker to serve you, that’s kinda wrong…

Also, customers who don’t tell you about allergies… Those are really annoying and scary because if they’re allergic to something and don’t tell you about allergies and then had a reaction… Let’s just say it’s not a pleasant feeling…

I also really REALLY don’t like the really rich grandmothers with their children who act like spoiled brats.. I’m sorry, but if you’re in your 70s and have a lot of money at least have the decency to treat the people who provide you with food some sort of respect instead of treating them like actual “low-life”. I find that so rude…

Small things really bug me too, like every time we clean up, there are always customers who end up buying a lot of food and creating a bigger mess than it already was! Then there are those ones who come in just when you’re about to close and you have to serve them… That is really annoying.

There are plenty of other things that annoy me about customers, but if I mention any more, I think I might be considered a bitch. 😛 I’m nice, I promise! 😀

That’s enough ranting for today… I love you all~! ❤

3DS + Games! | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

I apologise once again for the late post, but I was really busy last week with work and stuff, and I was so tired on Friday that I forgot about it… But, here’s my post, nonetheless! My question to you is, what games do you enjoy playing on your consoles? (similar to a few posts back, I know) Also, contest details will be up later this week – still trying to decide on what to do. 🙂

So I got a 3DS recently with my own money! That was so exciting for me because I’ve wanted one since I was like, 14, and now this is actually a reality and it’s freaking awesome! 😀 The two games that I bought were Animal Crossing, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, both of which are pretty fun. Played Pokemon for like, 16+ hours already… and yes, I have a life… But now it’s getting kind of boring, which is why I switched to an RPG style game, Animal Crossing.

Fun fact, actually, with the first Animal Crossing game – Wild World – I thought it was really “lame” and it looked bad, but now I’m playing it, so what do you know..!

Animal Crossing is pretty fun once things actually start happening. Still need to Google how to get the watering can though… For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, it’s based on real time things, so for example, certain shops will open/close at a certain time, which is exactly like the time in the country where you’re living. So sometimes you have to wait a day or two for things to actually happen, which is a bit annoying, but it’s worth it in the end, I think.

Well, that’s about it! Sorry about my nerdiness, I just got really excited. 😀 I love you all~! ❤

P.S. For those of you interested, I'm about to get my 7th badge in Pokemon :3 (I've never actually finished a game though.. 😀 )

D is for Demons | A-Z Challenge

Hello my lovely cat people!

Today I’m going to talk to you about demons. And they’re not the kinds of demons that are pictured in a fantasy world. They are the demons that we battle within ourselves – our inner fears, inhibitions, and anything like that.

We are all scared of something in our lives. Whether it is a phobia, a fear of rejection, a fear of being unsuccessful, etc, there is always something that is pressing on in our minds about something that we are afraid of. This is what I call inner demons.

These can be very harmful in that, these demons can stop us from achieving what is needed, being the best we can be. And we all need to learn how to battle these demons in the right way.

For example, let’s say that body image is your inner demon. That you tell yourself that in order to look beautiful, you need to be skinny. This can be a really tough one to battle and get rid of, as it is a very popular one in our western society. I battled with this one myself and know exactly what it’s like to be in this position. I didn’t go to the extreme of developing disorders, but I did feel very self-conscious for quite a long time about the way I look. It’s hard to give advice on this topic, because it is so broad and different people respond to different things, so my advice may not help all of you. However, from my experience, I have learnt that if you find someone, no matter who – a boy, a girl, a woman, man, child, relative, parent, etc. – who can tell you that you look beautiful just the way your body is, then you are on the right path to “demolishing” this demon of body image.

This is the one that was set by society and a lot of people are feeling pressured because they have to look a certain way. But that is so unrealistic… Apart from models and “gym junkies” (not trying to be offensive, just finding a term that everyone can understand) no one looks the same. Everyone has different body shapes and sizes – broad shoulders, large heads, small noses, etc. There is not one person that looks alike. So why do we feel the need to look like a particular body stereotype? This has been set by the media and society and it’s not ok. We need to start dealing with these issues as a community if we want to ever stop this kind of thing from ever happening again.

There are so many other “demons” that people are dealing with, but very few people are addressing. So I just wanted to talk about these issues with you guys and making sure that people understand.

I love you all~! ❤
