Cooking with Friends | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

So today I hung out with a few of my very close friends from school. It was really fun and I thought I would let you know, briefly, what I did. My question to you is – what do you like to do with friends?

We met up pretty early and hung out in a shopping center for quite a while..! 3 hours it was I think.. We were going around some stores, laughing at products and just enjoying our time together. We won’t get to see each other as often this year, since some of them have moved schools, so we really cherish moments like these. 🙂

Then, after 3 hours, we walked back to my friend’s house and did some cooking. I decided to buy packet noodles, because I had a really bad craving for them… I don’t know why. Then we ate nachos and baked a really nice chocolate, cream and cherry cake… I was so marvelous.

But yes, the thought that I left with today was that I really REALLY love the friends that I have in college now, and I know that people say that college friends are for life and sometimes it doesn’t turn out to be true. But I truly feel like the friendships that I have currently will definitely last for a really long time – my friends are the best and I’m so glad that I have found a group of friends who I can trust and have deep conversations with, but also have a fun and silly time together. ❤ If anyone has friends like that, you should feel lucky and happy – there aren't that many people out there who are going to have your back no matter what, so cherish them. 🙂

I love you all~! ❤

Trashy Shows and Good Music | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

Sorry about this being late, but here it is. 🙂 My question to you is, what are your guilty pleasure TV shows and what music do you like to listen to? Feel free to leave your comments down below. 🙂

So I’ve been watching quite a few trashy shows lately – Dance Mums is one of them (let the judging begin 😛 ). I have really started to like it because of the drama, however, I do not agree with what people are fighting about and I personally think it is so bad. But, in saying that, the dancers there are incredible and most of them are 6, if not more, years younger than me! The stuff that they can do out there every day is insane, so to them, I put my hands down.

Music has been so good lately… Just, wow. What I haven’t told you yet is that I will try and audition for a main role in the school musical, so I’m trying to pick out a song that will be my audition piece. And this has got me thinking about my favourite band. I still think that Of Monsters and Men are, by far, my favourite band ever – there is not a song of theirs that I didn’t like – they are true artists and I hope that they come to Tasmania soon because we need them here!!!!

Anyway, that’s enough for me today. 😛 Sorry about it being short, just didn’t want to go “full out”. I love you all~! ❤

3DS + Games! | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

I apologise once again for the late post, but I was really busy last week with work and stuff, and I was so tired on Friday that I forgot about it… But, here’s my post, nonetheless! My question to you is, what games do you enjoy playing on your consoles? (similar to a few posts back, I know) Also, contest details will be up later this week – still trying to decide on what to do. 🙂

So I got a 3DS recently with my own money! That was so exciting for me because I’ve wanted one since I was like, 14, and now this is actually a reality and it’s freaking awesome! 😀 The two games that I bought were Animal Crossing, and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, both of which are pretty fun. Played Pokemon for like, 16+ hours already… and yes, I have a life… But now it’s getting kind of boring, which is why I switched to an RPG style game, Animal Crossing.

Fun fact, actually, with the first Animal Crossing game – Wild World – I thought it was really “lame” and it looked bad, but now I’m playing it, so what do you know..!

Animal Crossing is pretty fun once things actually start happening. Still need to Google how to get the watering can though… For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, it’s based on real time things, so for example, certain shops will open/close at a certain time, which is exactly like the time in the country where you’re living. So sometimes you have to wait a day or two for things to actually happen, which is a bit annoying, but it’s worth it in the end, I think.

Well, that’s about it! Sorry about my nerdiness, I just got really excited. 😀 I love you all~! ❤

P.S. For those of you interested, I'm about to get my 7th badge in Pokemon :3 (I've never actually finished a game though.. 😀 )

Beaches… | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

I’m actually starting to have a proper summer! I haven’t had one in so long, probably about 3-4 years! Always been going back to Russia to visit my family and stuff during summer, but it’s winter over there now. So that happened. 😀

Anyway, before I go on, here are a few questions for you. Do you live near a beach? If so, what do you like to do and who with? feel free to leave a comment down below. 🙂

Since this is a New Year and a time for new beginnings, I thought I should tell you where in Australia I live. I’m not going to give away any more information about myself or my family, but I thought it would be nice for you guys to know where this place is, since it’s rather unknown and is quite isolated. I live in Tasmania, which is a little island just below Australia. It’s quite nice, although the weather can be very unpredictable and can change super quickly! Although today, the weather was really nice and warm.. 🙂

I used to love going to the beach when I was little – we used to always go to the Black Sea in Ukraine since I was about 3 until I was 9. That was always really fun and the resort and the friends and activities there were all really great and exciting! My favourite thing though was catching waves. Not with a surfboard, just by myself, going over and going under them, then jumping in and “rolling” along. I would always love stormy days because the waves would be really big and would always be fun to ride on. 🙂

Today I found out that riding waves was still fun and enjoyable. I’ve always loved the water and felt “in place” and never really felt scared or afraid, apart from a few occasions. But the most important thing I’ve realised is that the things that I loved doing as a kid in the water, I still enjoy now. To me, this means that we are all children on the inside and can still enjoy the things we used to do “back in the day”. Don’t listen to what others tell you, if they don’t think it’s “cool” or anything like that, try not to listen to them – that’s one of my New Year’s resolutions, to do more of what I want without the fear of being judged.

So be yourself, is what I’m ultimately trying to say here, and don’t let others bring you down. 🙂

I love you all~! ❤

Retro games! | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

Since this post is a day late and I have no legitimate excuse, apart from I simply forgot, I would really appreciate it if you would leave an appropriate “punishment” in the comments below. I would prefer if it was something to do with blogging/writing, but if you’d like me to take photos of where I live (no asking for photos of me or my family please, though) or anything like that, I will be happy to do so. Other than that, my question to you is what games, if any, do you like to play? 🙂

So this past week I’ve been enjoying some retro games on my PSP. They took me a while to download and set up, but they’re pretty worth it. At the moment, I’m playing Corpse Party: Book of Shadows and Silent Hill (the really old version that was released on PS3 in 2009, I think). I really like playing games like that, because they are creepy and very well done.

Not really sure what else to talk about other than the fact that I’m really enjoying my holidays and free time. 🙂

I love you all~! ❤

Zombies Run 5K! | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

Today I’ll talk to you about an app that I recently discovered, called Zombies Run 5K (there is another one called Zombies Run, but this one is better, in my opinion), which turns you into a 5K runner in 7-8 weeks time, which is pretty snazzy! So before I go on, my question to you is: what apps have you been enjoying this week/year? Feel free to leave your comments down below! 🙂

So this app is nothing short of amazing and is actually a good way to motivate you to do exercise. The way it works is you get 8 weeks worth of exercises, which take you roughly 30 minutes to an hour. It doesn’t give you exercises every day though, which I think is a good thing. If it did that, I would be so unmotivated to do it! In fact, it tells or advises you to take one or two days off before you keep going.

In the first week, you get 3 days worth of exercises. My workout currently is a 10 minute walk, followed by 10 fifteen-second runs with 1 minute breaks, and a 10 minute free-form run, which is basically running at your own pace. So if you feel tired after those short workouts, the program advises you to just walk and not push yourself.

Whilst 15-second runs sound like absolutely nothing, it actually gets your blood pumping, and the 1-minute rests are a good way to still keep your heart-rate up, whilst feeling like you’re taking a break. Plus, I live on a hill, so those 15-second runs uphill are quite tough!

This program continues to slowly increase the intensity, adding in a few more exercises, such as heel lifts and high-knee runs, every week.

If you’re like me and you absolutely hate running in actual workout conditions, I think this program is very do-able! You get a good storyline in between, getting to know the characters, and it’s really fun to do, trust me! I actually get up earlier now to go for my runs and after exercising and having a hot shower and a few stretches, I feel so much better! It’s like therapy for muscles – it’s great! 😀

If you’re looking for a fun app to exercise to, this one is definitely worth it! It does cost a bit of money, I think it’s something under $3, but it is so worth it! So, have fun running from zombies. 🙂

I love you all~! ❤

Dancing | Q&Rage

Hello my lovely cat people!

I apologise that this post is slightly late, been out almost all day dancing!

As you probably have guessed, I’ll be talking about dancing today. So before I continue, my question to you is, what are your hobbies, if you have any? Or, alternatively, what do you like to do in your spare time? 🙂

I’ve been dancing ever since I was about 6. My first dance school specialised in jazz and hip-hop mostly, but also did some classical classes. I only did the hip-hop classes at the time, but I loved it, really! It was so much fun being on stage and getting to know people, and doing something that is challenging but also enjoyable. Dancing to music, even if not professionally, is just really fun and free. If you don’t like dancing in front of people, dancing on your own is also fun. I do that a lot, often in front of a mirror… 😀

I’ve never been that good, I think. I’m average. I try my best, always, but if there is a move that I know I cannot do, I’d rather not embarrass myself in front of a class of people. I suppose this is something that I should work on, but all in good time..

I stopped dancing for a while, which looking back at now, I’m regretting a bit. Those skills that I haven’t learned during those years, and the people that I haven’t met were the opportunities that I’ve missed out on, which I can’t necessarily get back. But I’m with the greatest dance school now and it has honestly been a blessing.

I’ve started dancing at my dance school in 2012. I’ve been to other dance schools when I came to Australia, but finally settled on one. At first, I was really shy, because at the previous dance school I was being treated like an outcast because I couldn’t do certain things. So when I first came, I kept to myself. But everyone was being so friendly and welcoming that I slowly started coming out of my shell and talking to people more and more. Now, I have more dancing friends than I ever had before and I really feel like our dance school is a very loving and caring family. X

Dancing, to me, is not a hobby. Over the past year, I’ve realised that dancing is a lifestyle I’ve chosen for myself. And it’s not all about learning dance moves, we also learn to be respectful, caring and kind towards others, giving them a chance (at least at my dance school). I hope that in the next few years I learn and do more things and that I improve, but I know that I have found my dance family. ❤

With our annual concert coming up tomorrow, we're all so excited to share what we've learned and to perform. I love being out on the stage and it just feels natural. Plus, you're acting, so you forget about problems for a while and just let go… It's indescribable unless you've experienced it yourself.

I hope that you guys have something that you love as dearly as I do dancing. I love you all~! ❤
