University plans and struggles

Hello my wonderful cat people!

I have been applying for quite a few universities recently, and the application process is really horrible… It takes so long just to register on the website and find the courses you want to do, but then you have to pay for the application as well, which takes such a long time…… I don’t have enough patience for these kinds of things, unfortunately. XD

But exciting times are ahead, everyone, and I am finally applying for a course, which I am really passionate about, which is acting! I am so excited to be taking it on the mainland instead of here, because there are so little opportunities available… But I believe that the universities that I am applying to will provide me with many opportunities to grow as an independent person, and as an actress.

The only problem with one of the universities I’ve applied for is that I have to do a live audition, which is stressful in itself, but it is also stressful, as it is only a few days after most of my exams finish, which doesn’t give me much time to prepare… However, I want to be confident in my performances, so I’ll start early and work on it over the holidays, and hopefully, I’ll be able to get in.

I love you all~! ❤

“I AM SO OFFENDED RIGHT NOW!”

Hello my lovely cat people!

Don’t worry too much about the title, this is just the start to one of my rants 😉

With the existence of the internet, most of us use social media at some point. And so with the rise of social media, there is a rise in people who take everything out of proportion. For example, a video about something as innocent as filming a cat falling over can be interpreted by someone as, “Oh my god, this person likes animal cruelty because they are laughing at animals falling over and hurting themselves!” Or, “This person filmed a cat falling over? What about dogs? Well, if that’s the case, they must really hate dogs!”

People love jumping to conclusions, and this is what really pisses me off and annoys me. It’s fine being a troll, because other people know the trolls are doing it intentionally to piss those people off. Having a very biased opinion about something, however, can be very hard to change, and to me, it’s more annoying because people actually think they are correct. But in truth, all they are doing is having an uneducated opinion and jumping to conclusions before actually finding out the facts.

So the point of this rant is, don’t jump straight to conclusions! Do your research, find out what it is that the person might be trying to say/do/promote/enjoy/etc, and then make a decision about whether something is offensive or not. Otherwise, you’re just being an idiot. 🙂

I love you all~! ❤

R is for Rage | A-Z Challenge

Hello my lovely cat people!

It seems my procrastination habits cannot be broken because my computer has decided to stop working with me… At first, it did its usual thing where it would make my dashboard disappear and I couldn’t use anything. So it takes me about half an hour to get the damn computer working again. But no, it suddenly decides that my Word should stop working too so I can’t do anything! I can’t write any of my essays that I need to finish as soon as I can; I can’t edit anything; can’t start a short story for school – in short, I can’t do shit because my technology has failed me. This is my technology literally rebelling against me so that I can stop procrastinating! It’s ridiculous! I didn’t want it to be like this… ;(

I think a lesson I can learn from this very annoying inconvenience is that I need to get shit done before the last day of the holidays………….. And that I rely on technology too much. So yeah…

I love you all~! ❤

F is for F**k Homework.. | A-Z Challenge

Hello my lovely cat people!

I was supposed to post this yesterday, but guess what got in the way of it? That’s right, homework! I’m on holidays and I have so many assignments to do it is insane! And yet I still choose to spend my time blogging, browsing Facebook and playing games, putting all of my homework aside…

This year, I feel like I’ve been going well with assignments. I’m still leaving some to the last minute, but I’m actually making sure to try my best at everything, which is quite an achievement at least for me.

I especially envy those people who do not get distracted by social media. There is one person in my class who does not stop working and is on top of all of their assignments and homework and they make schedules for things to be done. They are so organized that they even have a day for writing schedules… I cannot follow schedules. If I start doing that, I get distracted by first making the schedule and then not doing it. I just can’t set myself a time to work on things, I have to be in the right mood for doing assignments and essays, otherwise my work becomes sloppy and messy.

So yeah, if the teachers could stop giving out this much homework on our holidays, that would be greatly appreciated. 🙂 I love you all~! ❤

E is for Egos | A-Z Challenge

Hello my lovely cat people!

People’s egos are mostly good. They let us understand what our strengths and weaknesses are. They help us understand who we are. However, sometimes people’s egos can spin out of control. For example, people can be so confident within themselves that they feel the need to tell lies and/or spread rumours about people, true or false, just to feed their ego. Just to make sure that they impress their friends. Some men, for example, really like to brag about how many women they had sex with or “how good she was”. I personally find this disgusting…

Anyway, just wanted to make a quick post about this, hopefully some can relate. 🙂 I hope you all are having or have had a wonderful Easter and got lots of chocolate from the Easter bunny! I love you all~! ❤

Fitting Stereotypes | The Truth

Hello my lovely cat people!

Sorry about this post being late, but we had very bad internet this past week, but now it’s finally good again! I’ll post Q&Rage tomorrow, a day after school starts to keep me a little bit sane……..

So stereotypes, especially beauty ones, are a big deal in today’s society. This, of course, has more impact on women, rather than men. Women are told to shave all of their hair off on their body, put on make-up, and are told that “skinny is good”, including many other ones not mentioned here. But the truth is – not every woman does this.

I, for one, do not do my eyebrows often, if at all, and I do not shave my legs. Most girls would be “disgusted” and probably tell me that it’s really gross, but honestly, I don’t care. If I was born with leg hair, then it must be there for something, so why should I shave it off at someone else’s expense? I don’t want to fit the beauty stereotype for that, I think it’s stupid, but hey, if others think I’m gross, they have every right to be.

What also really annoys me is this “double standards” thing. For example, men or boys are allowed to walk on the beach without their tops on, so why can’t women do the same? It’s only because society has made it wrong to do that, but really, who is being hurt by this? Imagine if it would be wrong or illegal for men to go topless, and all the women would say, “This is really hurting me, I am so offended…” That is so wrong to me. I also feel like women who do as little as breastfeed in public without feeling the need to cover themselves up are being looked down on. Come on, people, this is the 21st century! We shouldn’t be ashamed just because a woman wants to take care of her child and wants what’s best for them – this is ridiculous!

Also this other stereotype, “skinny is good”, is very ridiculous. I feel like any person who is not as skinny as a twig is looked down on by most people like, “Oh yeah, she/he probably eats at McDonald’s everyday, I bet she doesn’t even do exercise and just stays in bed on weekends.” Let’s talk about this… I find this so wrong, because people are just judging by first glance! What if they have a condition where they put on weight every time they eat something as little as a few pieces of fruit, or maybe a nut mix? What if they cannot actually put weight off? There are a million other reasons for them to be like they are, and I find it really sad that most people have the need to judge them just because they look different.

In conclusion, I advise you to not fit every single stereotype out there – you do you, don’t let other people control you just because you look/sound/express yourself differently.

I love you all~! ❤

Feeling Emotional… | The Truth

Hello my lovely cat people!

So, on today’s Truth, I’ll be talking about emotions, specifically about the freedom to express them. Again, feel free to leave comments below about your personal experience and stuff, it’d be much appreciated. 🙂

Everyone has those days where they feel the need to express their true feelings. I’m talking about any kind of emotion: “crazy” fun; sad; angry; etc. But what really annoys me is how we as humans create stigmas or we can judge people because of the way they try to stay true to themselves. This especially backfires on men. Let me give you an example.

I was watching a video on YouTube the other day, it was more of an interview type thing, where several men were asked about what makes them cry. Personally, I don’t think this should be done at all. I feel like men are seen as weak or “girly” when they cry, which to me is ridiculous. Anyone is entitled to express themselves in any way they like, as long as it doesn’t hurt others or themselves. So why should men in particular be ostricised and “made special” for crying? Feeling sad or feeling so happy that you cry is normal and natural – everyone does it. You may not admit it to others, but you can’t tell me that you haven’t cried at least once in your life. If you do that, you’re only lying to yourself.

Men crying is seen as a rare thing, if ever seen at all, and I think that is wrong! I personally think that men crying is a good thing and shouldn’t be thought of as weak, incompetent, or any other kind of crap. It mean if men, or people in general, are crying in front of you, they are ok with expressing emotions in front of people, and these are the people you should stick to. This is because they are less likely to lie about how they are feeling, or pretend to be someone they are not. I think that’s what a lot of men are afraid of – being seen as someone who is not themselves.

Can you imagine what a chaos it would be if that same channel posted a video about what makes women cry? Because people would be like – women cry all the time, this is ridiculous! And that in itself is kind of sad. That would further tell us that women are more free to cry or to laugh or to express any other kind of emotion in front of someone. Well, it’s about time we change things, aye?

That’s all from me today, once again – let me know what you think! 🙂 I love you all~! ❤
