S and T are for Sherlock the TV Show

Hello my lovely cat people!

Seeming I’ve missed so many days already, I thought it would be nice to combine two letters at once and write about one of my favourite things – Sherlock. I may have mentioned this before, back in 2014 when I went to London with my dad, or even previously before that, but this is one of my absolute favourite series to watch.

I’m sure most of you would’ve heard about Arthur Conan Doyle, who’s the genius behind all these works and who’s inpired people to make this wonderful series. So yeah, this Britis show is based on his works, and the writers, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, have adapted it to screen!

Each season has 3 episodes, which are 1.5 hours each. So technically, you’re getting to see three movies in three weeks for free! That is also why it takes so long for each season to come out. But, with the growing popularity of Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and Martin Freeman (Watson), it is also difficult to get the two actors to film together, as they both have projects they’re working on.

My favourite season by far would have to be season 3 – it is definitely the funniest and most entertaining to watch! The Christmas Special that came out this year – The Abominable Bride – was also quite good and explained a lot of things from season 3 that weren’t touched on in the season itself.

The actors in this show are also doing amazing work – their characters are complicated in their own way, and they do a brilliant job of explaining who they are, what they do, how they feel, etc.

So basically, this show has everything – amazing cast; brilliant and complicated writing that connects together perfectly (since it’s a mystery show, the “solving” part of the mystery has to make sense) and is hilarious; and it keeps the viewers on their feet. I highly recommend this show more than any other to people, and the wait for every season is definitely worth it.

So that’s all from me. 😛 I love you all~! ❤

P is for Pretty Little Liars

Hello my wonderful cat people!

Okay, so I kind of hate myself for it, but I’ve gotten addicted to PLL. :p And don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty good show, but there are still assumptions being made when you tell people you watch this show. XD

Anywho, for those of you who are not onboard with the PLL train, it’s a murder mystery/thriller/drama kind of show. The storyline revolves around 4 teenage girls who try to uncover the murder of their deceased friend, and who keep getting harassed by this stranger called A. And so the show has some romance scenes in there, as well as some okay storyline. I wouldn’t say that the mystery aspect is that great, (especially if you compare it to shows like Sherlock) but it’s kinda fun to try and guess who A is and to connect all the dots. I feel like that’s probably the only reason I watch the show. 😀

Also, for fans of PLL, there’s a great YouTube channel you should check out that does really funny spoof versions of this show. It’s called SimGM Productions, and they make sim versions of all the characters, and the voice acting is actually quite good! 😀 Anyway, it’s super funny and you’ll definitely chuckle at the references from the show. Thought I’d mention the channel for fans who like watching parodies of the shows. :p

Anyway, that’s pretty much it for me today. I’m a bit tired, and I can’t think of anything else to add to this post, so I hope you enjoy it. :p

Have a great weekend, and I love you all~! ❤

O is for Orphan Black

Hello my lovely cat people!

I thought I’d talk to you about another one of my favourite shows, which is Orphan Black! It’s a UK original series, I believe, and it’s a sci-fi, action, mystery/drama kind of show. It has everything really. 😛

What it also has is a great storyline and an amazing cast. The story is based around Sarah, one of the many clones that were created in the name of science. Unfortunately, can’t go any further than that, since it will spoil the show. 😛 But, what makes it so great, is that all the female clones are played by the same, extremely talented actress, Tatiana Maslany. (I hope I spelt that right XD ) The characters she plays have to be very different from each other, otherwise the audience wouldn’t be able to differentiate between them. As an actor, it’s hard enough playing one different role in a TV show or movie of any kind. But this actress has decided to sign on to a project where she plays all different characters in the one series. And she does a brilliant job of that – her acting is very believable, and you can definitely see the difference between the characters that she plays. It’s amazing!

Also, since the show is done with clones, there would be so much editing involved! Not only that, the storyline would have to make a lot of sense, since there’s a lot of back story of the characters, why/how they were clones, who did it, etc. So the writers would be working their butts off for the show as well. 😛 I mean, as a person who’s acted, and who’s written before, I can definitely appreciate this work from both aspects: as a viewer and as a creator. This show has earned so much of my respect. And Tatiana Maslany is basically the female version of Leo DiCaprio with all of her different characters that she portrays.

Honestly guys, if you have the time, Orphan Black is one of the greatest sci-fi shows on TV right now. Please check it out if you can, it’s so so worth it!

I love you all~! ❤

M is for Misfits

Hello my wonderful cat people!

I’ve talked about music already, but let’s talk about some shows that I really like. One of them is, of course, Misfits. If you are unaware of this wonderful show’s existence, then I highly recommend that you check it out (and watch the British version first, because it is the better one :P), because it is hilariously funny (the first few seasons anyway 😛 ), and is also really gripping in terms of story and character development.

The show is about 5 community service adults who get struck by lightning and obtain some kind of insane powers. And I know that it sounds super cliche, and it’s definitely been done before by many. But this particular show touches a lot on relationships between different characters, and how they develop and grow throughout the discovery of their powers. But of course, what definitely makes the show’s first few seasons so funny and great to watch is the actor Robert Sheehan who plays Nathan on the show. You might’ve seen him in the movie ‘The City of Bones’ (originally written by Cassandra Clare) and might not have been very impressed. So let me tell you, your impression of him will definitely change if you see this show! Also, if you haven’t seen the movie, don’t watch it – it’s not very good. 😛 Read the book instead. 😀

Anywho, there’s 5 seasons of the show now, I think, but I just watch the first few seasons, because then the cast changes after a while, and it’s not the same. So, if you’d like a bit of a relaxing afternoon after a hard day’s work, wherever and whoever you are, then this show is definitely for you. It honestly has everything. So do check it out if you have the time. 🙂

Other than that, I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday (or have had, I should say, since this post is running very late. :P), and I love you all~! ❤

‘T’ is for Teen Wolf

Hello my lovely cat people!

So now I’m back home and over the past couple of days, I’ve been re-watching one of my favourite TV shows – Teen Wolf. There will be no spoilers in this post, so don’t worry. 🙂

I’ve realised during this time how far this show has come and how amazing it is! The first season is pretty “lovey-dovey” and all typical teenage drama, like, “This girl is too good for me, I’m not popular or good a sport, what am I going to do? She doesn’t love me….. I’m going to cry now……” But the second and third seasons are just sooo much darker and so much better! (Partially because more hot guys arrive.. :P)

But the love for the show isn’t just for the cliched drama or hot guys, the story is amazing and the show does teach you some good things, like loyalty and friendship and being different from everyone, etc. If you think that this show is only about the cliches, you couldn’t be more wrong. The third season is pretty damn dark and the acting is brilliant! Sure, it might remind you of Twilight in some moments, and at some really obvious puns or events you might want to face palm yourself in the face really hard…. But the show is actually really enjoyable and I would definitely recommend giving it a chance. You won’t regret it! (most likely)

But yeah, that’s all I have time for today. I hope you enjoyed and I love you all~! ❤

Goodbye Allison…

Nerd Next Door

I know this post is about Teen Wolf, which is super awesome by the way (sorry for not doing the weekly episode thingy-ma-jigs that I do with my other series…) but I just finished the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 finale…

And I only have three letters to describe the episode.

O.M.G.

The episode was called ‘A is for Answers‘- that’s pretty obvious, even someone in reception can figure that out…but we did get quite a few answers…a lot, and I mean A LOT, of people were ruled out from being A…yet not enough.

It was good, but annoying, better than most episodes, but not the best. Do you get me?

But the ending?! Bloody hell, I NEED SEASON 5. I hate mysteries that drag- just get on with it and solve the case. Luckily there’s a better detective on the scene now (good riddance Wilden
